Similarly, when the month component requires adjustment, one year is borrowed and converted to 12 months. Total days are calculated by computing the difference in milliseconds between the birth date and today, then dividing by the number of milliseconds in a day (86,400,000). This method accounts for all calendar irregularities including leap years. Total weeks are derived by dividing total days by seven. Total hours and minutes are computed by multiplying total days by 24 and 1,440 respectively. The zodiac sign is determined through a series of month and day range checks corresponding to the standard Western tropical zodiac boundaries.
